Creative Spatial Audio

About Us

SonoCopia Collective is an innovative audio collective with experimental, organic & spatial audio at its core. We move beyond music to craft immersive audio journeys that redefine the listener’s relationship with sound, acoustic perception and remembrance through sound.

Comprised of three core members, John, Steve and Miko, each brings a distinct technical and creative specialty to the mix. Supported by the world-class facilities of TiMax Spatial, we leverage object-based precision to sculpt environments where audio has height, depth, and movement. At SonoCopia, we don’t just produce sound, we design the immersive space & experiences where it lives.

The Team

John Robinson

Audio Production

John launched Clique Productions in 2000 within a self-designed studio in North West London, spending the last 25 years mastering vocal production and engineering. As a founding member of SonoCopia Collective, he is part of a network of innovators pushing music beyond conventional formats.

While technological trends in AI risk turning music into disposable, interchangeable forms, John believes it is time for the creative industry to “raise its game.” By harnessing technology to create entirely new, previously unimagined works, he ensures human creativity remains at the heart of every audio journey. This ethos of innovation and spatial exploration defines his work with SonoCopia.

MIKO

Spatial Audio & Sound Art

MIKO is an interdisciplinary artist who places spatial audio and sound art at the very heart of his creative practice. Currently based in London, his perspective has been profoundly shaped by his history of backpacking across diverse countries and cultures. This global lens allows him to explore the complex intersections of sound, space, and mysticism, investigating how collective cultural identity manifests within contemporary music.

Drawing on his background as a live electronic-experimental improviser, MIKO focuses on creating abstract and evocative works that intentionally move beyond music. His work with SonoCopia Collective is dedicated to curating immersive audio journeys pioneering a new genre of sensory experiences where the boundary between the listener and the soundscape completely dissolves.

Steve Lambert

Musician, Composer

Born in Trinidad and Tobago, Steve Lambert’s early years were shaped by the island’s rich and immersive soundscapes, from sounds of tropical wildlife to the rhythmic percussive pulse of the steel pans the local instrument forged from reclaimed oil drums. Surrounded by a vibrant mix of African, Asian, Portuguese and European cultural influences, he developed a deep sensitivity and interest in sound, rhythm and musical diversity.

Working across genres, Steve has created, recorded and produced world music, blending blues and jazz with acoustic and electronic elements into hybrid fusion styles. From his North West London Studio he has composed extensively for major production music libraries.

Presently, with the advent of new immersive spatial recording technologies, Steve is particularly inspired to create inventive compositions, working with SonoCopia Collective as a founder member, to expand the audio possibilities within immersive listening.
